Optimizationguide-pa.googleapis.com 7652 hits and someone spamming queries in the pi.hole

The issue I am facing:
It's been several days now optimizationguide-pa.googleapis.com has 7652 hits in my pihole also total queries is keep going up every second, my pihole total queries is 18,347 and still keep going up every seconds!
Details about my system:
Host: Raspberry Pi 4 Model B+ rev 1.4
OS: Debian GBU/Linux 11 (bullseye) aarch64
Kernel: 6.1.21-v8+
What I have changed since installing Pi-hole:
Updating gravity and also installing pimox7 pimox/pimox7: Proxmox V7 for Raspberry Pi (github.com)

I think optimizationguide-pa.googleapis.com is one of the sites Chrome accesses every time you open a new tab. Are you running software that creates and closes tabs in chrome.

Does proxmox use chromium to poll the other machines in your cluster perhaps.

Further to Moto's suggestions, Pi-hole's Query Log will show you the client from which these requests are coming. Is that client running Chrome, or anything related to Google which you can identify?

Sometimes with things like this it takes a bit of detective work, closing things down and opening them one at a time to identify the causse.
