OpenWRT.lan showing highest number of blocked sites

Issue:
The question I have is regarding the massive amount of traffic that my OpenWRT router is pushing through the pi-hole. It is the top client for queries. Should I be seeing the router as a client at all?

I'm also seeing queries from the pi-hole as well. Is this expected behavior?

Looking at the domains, I see domains from netflix, youtube, gstatic. The vast majority are not blocked. The problem, if any, is that this behavior is hiding the actual LAN client responsible for the queries. I suspect this may be due to configuration on my OpenWRT router but haven't been able to figure out what configuration would address this.

Details about my system:
I have a new pi-hole installation on a raspberry pi 4B, 4GB, running latest Raspberry Pi OS (64bit Debian 12 Bookworm). Installation went smoothly following the excellent instructions provided on the pi-hole web page.

What I have changed since installing Pi-hole:
I've posted OpenWRT configuration questions and have implemented or tested the proposed solutions.

Debug log in case it's needed:

UPDATE
The last spike of OpenWRT queries was about a day ago when I was testing different network configurations. Since then I haven't had a single query attributed to the OpenWRT router nor from the pi-hole. I'll close this request for help as it seems that I've somehow sorted it out.
