Ehm... a couple of things... AFAIK :
- You dont need to install NTP because SystemD already runs it as your 'timedatectl status' command clearly shows ?!
- The right command would be something with ntpd instead, but again : You don't need it !!
Source : My Debian 13 Trixie install =>
# apt show ntp
Package: ntp
State: not a real package (virtual)
Notice: Can't select candidate version from package ntp as it has no candidate
Notice: Can't select versions from package 'ntp' as it is purely virtual
Notice: No packages found
So let's not do that and play around with timedatectl instead
/EDIT :
It turned out this whole thing is one big misunderstanding
so if you have questions about the subject please start a new topic in case you found this via the Forum Search or your favorite Search Engine !!!
Please don't necro old threads that then dealt with v6 beta.
Pi-hole v6 was released over a year ago.
I know that you also would do something like this so here it is:
It’s ‘systemd’.
See https://brand.systemd.io/
“Yes, it is written systemd , not system D or System D, or even SystemD. And it isn't system d either.”
@nero355 necro'd bc I had split another Discourse thread that was necro'd
I guess he didnt notice.
Yep!
Ohh and @darkexplosiveqwx : Stop being weird...
I just like writing it that way just like DNSmasqd for example since it doesn't have a cool name like FTLDNS
To be fair, I remember you were the one asking for us to change how AArch64 is written when the installer runs, just a month ago... HAHAHA.
As long as we understand each other, sometimes there is no need to use the "official" spelling.
Pi-hole should be written with a capital "P" and a hyphen (unless you are talking about the pihole command).
A lot of users write different things, like: "Pihole", "pihole", "PiHole", "PinHole", etc, but we don't refuse to answer questions written with spelling errors.
NICE!!!
But it's not about that in this case :
He seems to be on some kind of personal battle with me for whatever reason that probably makes no sense at all, so he grabs every chance he can get to do it...
