No internet when I set DNS to point to my RaspberryPi IP

Hello, I have installed pihole in my raspberryPi. When I change my DNS settings in my router to the (static) IP of my Pi, I get no internet connection. I changed the settings in my /etc/resolv.conf to point to either 127.0.0.1 as well to an external DNS service such as 1.1.1.1 with no luck.

When I switch my router DNS settings back to the default one, I get an internet connection again.

When I change the DNS settings on my laptop to point to my RaspberryPi, it all seems to work fine. I have internet and I can see in the pihole dashboard that ads get blocked.

Expected Behaviour:

When setting DNS IP at router level to be my Pi, I should have internet access and ads blocked
-operating system Raspberry Pi OS (64-bit)
-hardware]_ Raspberry Pi 4 Model B

Actual Behaviour:

I cannot connect to the internet after setting the DNS in my router to point to the (static) IP of my Pi. I have set only 1 IP (no secondary DNS IP)
