No internet true Pihole

Hi,

I installed Pihole on my Unifi Cloudkey v1, everything seems to be running fine still I don’t have internet using the Pihole DNS. My Cloudkey is connected to my ISP’s modem that also is my router (DHCP server), can’t change the DNS on the Modem/Router so I tested Pihole on my iPhone using a static IP with the Pihole DNS, this results in no internet connection.

The Cloudkey was a spare one and I updated it from Jessie to Buster and it’s running my Homebridge server. I thought it was a good idea to also install Pihole on it, the webUI etc works fine, FTL Is running etc.

I made a debug log so hope that someone can help me to get it working. Thx!

Debug log

Your debug log shows that Pi-hole is able to receive and process DNS queries, but has received none.

Do you have any idea why my device have no internet access if i use the Pihole IP address as my DNS server.

Is it just once device or all devices that have this problem?

If you made the DNS change on the router, did you renew the DHCP lease on all clients?

If you made the change on the router, is Pi-hole the only DNS server listed?

Are you running any firewalls that will block port 53 traffic?

Do you have any DNS rebind protection enabled on the router?

After resetting my Cloudkey an started from scratch everything is working fine. I used the ethp0 NIC and the one that I needed was eth0.
