New Pi3, fresh minimal install of Dietpi, used recommended tutorial for Cloudflared DNS over HTTPS, internet stops working after period of time

Please follow the below template, it will help us to help you!

Expected Behaviour:

Internet should keep working

Actual Behaviour:

For the last year, I've had mixed results getting DOH (dns over https) to work properly. My internet will work for 5 days, and then I will notice the internet stops working..so I will either do a DNS resolver restart within the Pihole admin, or I will have to restart the pihole system. Occasionally, even my SSH will fail to allow me to connect to the PI, so I've had to pull the power cord to it and reboot that way.

I attempted to run the pihole - d at the time of the failure...in which the script to debug ran very slowly. Of course it was unable to upload the debug log because the internet was down. Once I rebooted, I re-ran the script.

I run pfsense as my router. My prior PI3 box had a similar setup as the current one, but I had followed a different DOH tutorial which had some differences and I suspected maybe I had something goofy in place that would periodically spaz out. So I bought a new PI3, did a fresh install of DietPi, installed Pihole, and then followed the DOH tutorial here: Redirecting...

In pfsense, I enabled the DNS Resolver after setting my DNS server to point to the IP of the PI. I did the DNS resolver so that I could see the hostnames of the devices on my network. However, after 24hrs, my internet stopped working so I had to reboot it (ssh would not allow me to login). However I was able to still access the Pihole admin, and did a system restart from there. I then went and disabled DNS resolver for the time being. It's been about 12-15 hours and internet is still working.

I would stop using Cloudflared as the upstream resolver for a week and see if the problem resolves. If it does, then the problem lies with Cloudflared and you would likely need to visit their support site for a resolution.

I wonder if this might be related:

My kids play online games a lot, xbox, we don't do netflix but I do pull down torrents occasionally.

I can't think of a specific use case where it triggers a failed internet..but we certainly are a home where a lot of content is utilized.

I also utilized privateinternetaccess.com for various things, so again..not sure if anything is happening within pihole at the time I am doing this.
