Expected Behaviour:
If I'm posting in the incorrect place my apologies. I'm very new at this so I'm not so sure if I configured pi-hole correctly or not. There is just much info out there regarding pi-hole itself and using your router for configuration. I may have made some incorrect information changes to get the best blocking possible on my streaming desktop devices while using pi-hole. I was trying to tie in the pi-hole with my ASUS Mesh router DNS if that's possible to protect all devices. But I get a lot of conflicting information for example in many ways either use your router or pi-hole DNS. I run DEBUG so it may explain something I don't understand it. I want to confirm that I have pi-hole configured just perfectly so I don't experience any bad behavior with tracking or advertisements.
Actual Behaviour:
Not so sure if it is even blocking advertisements or trackers at all it shows only One Queries blocked.
Hello Again, I forgot I also wanted to add that I use a VPN in my ASUS Mesh ZenWiFi AX Hybrid route. I use the code from PIA website to input into the Multiple VPN connection tab of router. Not sure if this is conflicting with the pi-hole or not. I can also if available send screen shots. Sure could use some help here it still giving me issues.
Thanks
Hello Again,
I'm not so sure what the list is how to do I create one or find one? I really don't have a list. The one you mention in line two "Go To Lists page and add your list" Is that the same one above that I needed to delete sure looks like it?
I received this response today, Wednesday, March 12, 2025-- by running ns lookup pi.hole. I got message Server: 8.8.8.8 Address: 8.8.8.8#53 ** server can't find pi-hole: NXDOMA IN
I've searched through router settings for any changes but all seem to be just fine i believe however pi-hole is not blocking. I also cleared and flushed tables still the same..
The replies to your nslookup are normal for this configuration.

Your gravity list is empty, since the scheduled gravity update on Sunday morning.
Please run sudo pihole -g to update gravity.
Of note, why have you chosen the following list as your only adlist?
# AdguardDNS, parsed and mirrored by https://firebog.net
# Updated 12MAR25 from https://filters.adtidy.org/extension/chromium/filters/15.txt
# This is sourced from an "adblock" style list which is flat-out NOT designed to work with DNS sinkholes
# There WILL be mistakes with how this is parsed, due to how domain names are extracted and exceptions handled
Okay, I followed through with update gravity. I believe all this started when I was reading different topics from the net on how to configure pi-hole with router. When I first installed this and run it seem to work just fine and blocking until i messed with the configuration. I guest I should of left it alone. I just want the best blocking possible that I can get. Regarding Adguard list, At the beginning of this thread I believe that I was told I have no lists at all in the section so I was instructed to add this list as instructed by last communication. At first, it was in the wrong place. So I'm not so sure what other lists to add?
