Malwaredomains.com down

Hello,
it seems that malwaredomains.com does no longer exist. :frowning:
no longer possible to pull mirror1.malwaredomains.com/files/justdomains

and malwaredomains.com is redirected to Community Projects - RiskAnalytics
regards Robert

Big problem this! Now my install only has one working feed, which is:
https://raw.githubusercontent.com/StevenBlack/hosts/master/hosts

There is a good selection of additional blocklists here. You will likely find that even without one of your two blocklists available, you won't see any more ads. Known ad-serving domains are generally contained on most blocklists.

Thanks for the info

Are you seeing more ads? That one working feed covers things very well.

Hi, no once I realized that one was bust, I added this (which I use on standalone PC's):

https://someonewhocares.org/hosts/zero/hosts

I ran an update before and after adding your recommended host list and the difference was 1 unique domain out of the 14k so I'd say we're pretty well covered with the StevenBlack list.

Yes is down.

A very useful tool for managing lists is pihole5-list-tool

  • Allow lists can be added from anudeepND's allowlist, files, or manual entry
  • Block/Ad lists can be added from firebog.net, files, or manual entry
  • Removes lists it adds (or all of them)
  • Reset lists to Pi-hole defaults
  • Stats provides some quick sums and groupings

PS: at Blocklists use Firebog ticked (green lists)

If at pihole5-list-tool installation you get ”pip3 not found”, install python3-pip.

A regex filter list as well
Regex Filters for Pi-hole

There is no such thing in Pi-hole, nor apparently at the linked site.

None of these lists of random googlevideo domains work effectively, and they usually end up breaking the functionality of YouTube. It may work for a specific user for a short while, but that's it.

  1. Whitelists man. Whitelists, Curated.
  2. There is a tool that apparently works extracting domains and inject list in pi-hole. There is a script that can be used 2 times/hour that do this using Sublist3r

Group whitelists are generally a bad practice, which is one of the reasons Pi-hole doesn't support subscribing to such lists.

This tool has also been tested and found to not be completely effective, and with the side benefit that it can break YouTube.

More than half of your posts are links to external sites and old guides. Please stop doing that.

So it is forbidden or what?
I dont like your tone from first post of you until now.

Old guides are not necesarily futile, they can be better then new ones.

Everybody just go and have a nice Christmas please.
