macOS Cisco Umbrella Roaming Client & Pi-Hole

The issue I am facing:
Hi all,
Recently my work rolled out Cisco Umbrella Roaming Client (macOS)

I have no issue with this, except that its bypassing my Pi-Hole at home, and now Im back to freaking ad central which absolutely sucks.

Essentially, it runs a local dns server on the machine, and checks local dns cache for existing entries, otherwise forwards the request to Cisco Umbrella for resolving.

Im wondering if someone here has ideas for a way to add my pihole to somewhere in macos (probably /etc/resolv.conf?) that will first send to pihole and if that fails (e.g when not on the same network) then fallback to umbrellas system

Details about my system:
macOS 13.0

I think this is something you will need to discuss with the IT folks at work. I assume they are the ones who control the software on your computer, or at least the Cisco Umbrella part.

Thanks.

Turns out I could just manually set my dns servers through network settings. So I did that in order of preference and it seems to work
