Long-term load (15min avg) larger than number of processors

Updated this morning. Everything is working great, but I am getting a flashing warning icon in the upper right hand corner now that I have never gotten before (and I stay fairly up to date).

The error type is LOAD, and the message is:
"Long-term load (15min avg) larger than number of processors: 4.3 > 4
This may slow down DNS resolution and can cause bottlenecks."

I have never seen this before. Anyone else seeing this?

Happy to help diagnose where I can.

Edit: I just saw that the warning system was added with this update, and doesn't necessarily indicate an actual issue.

The warnings have always existed in /var/log/pihole.log. A change to Pi-hole made them more visible by also printing them into /var/log/pihole-FTL.log and showing them on the dashboard.

Brief documentation for these warning can be found here:

https://docs.pi-hole.net/ftldns/dnsmasq_warn/

A load just slightly larger than the number of cores does not necessarily indicate immediate trouble. However, you should keep an eye on it. If it appears often, you can disable the warning via a config option:

https://docs.pi-hole.net/ftldns/configfile/#check_load
