Expected Behaviour:
When I click on Dashboard - Queries Blocked - List blocked queries, the action column has buttons to white list. I'm running Pihole on Ubuntu proxmox VM.

When I click Dashboard - Queries Blocked - List blocked queries, the action column is missing the buttons to white list.

Please post some screen captures that show what you are seeing. Include the side menu bar so we'll know which tab is active.
In this forum, you can paste images directly into a reply.
Do you see a scroll bar at the bottom of the table?
Like this:
The screen shot I sent shows the issue.

As far as I can see in this thread, you have posted no screen shot(s).
I updated the thread with the screen shot, again sorry about that. thanks
Do you see any error messages in browser devtools?
In most browsers, pressing F12 opens the devtools. Then select the "Console" tab.
Also, do you see the same behavior using a different browser or a different device?
EDIT:
This is expected.
The queries you are seeing were blocked by the upstream DNS (EXTERNAL). Pi-hole can't whitelist them, so the button is not shown.

Any sites you know that I can test? I tried going to random sites to see if its blocking anything, I want to see if the button appears.
There are many web sites with ads.
Using the default list, accessing google.com will block adservice.google.com.
CNN is also usually full of ads.
I tried CNN and I see a bunch of stuff blocked but no buttons to white list. I don't think I ever visit that site. not sure if it's working.
I see a bunch of stuff blocked
Which status? Blocked (external, IP)?
There are other possible cases you won't see a whitelist button:
Blocked (external, IP),
Blocked (external, NULL),
Blocked (external, NXRA),
Blocked (database is busy),
Blocked (special domain)
and a few other special cases (retried, query status Unknown, DNSKEY, DS, ...).
It says Blocked (external, NULL)
Then, there is no button.
As explained before, external means the upstream DNS is blocking the query. It's not possible to Pi-hole change that.
If you want to whitelist these domains you need to use a different upstream DNS server.
I understand, still odd when I visit a new site it doesn't show any buttons. Thanks for your help. You can resolve the ticket.
