It was the web UI reporting.

Your debug log shows that your Pi-hole machine has no public IPv6 connectivity - it can't talk to public IPv6 networks, including OpenDNS's 2620:119:35::35.

To avoid those connection errors, untick OpenDNS's IPv6 from your Pi-hole's upstreams via Settings | DNS.
