I shoved my pi-hole kit into the server rack and so the HDMI option is not available now. So wondering can I rdp or ssh into it when I want to do updates?
How do other people manage there pi-hole remote?
I don't even have a HDMI-capable screen at home and always connect to the Pi-hole over ssh
. I don't know offhand if ssh
is enabled by default on the pre-built Pi-hole kit but an owner of the kit might be able to comment on this. Even if it is disabled, enabling is as simple as putting an empty file on the SD card. You can find tons of tutorial for this on the web.
Yeah currently getting connection refused... ( not familiar with raspberry pi, so will need to google the adding of ssh or indeed a pi-hole kit user could give a summarised how to would be nice )
- update: found it, thx for the tips
I use ssh for some stuff but being lazy I also have VNC enabled so I cap pop a graphical desktop on any other local system.
