The issue I am facing:
Currently, I have the pi hole configured in the asus ax11000 router in "WAN" as my pi hole's IP 192.168.50.219. But the queries are rather low considering we have more than 15 devices. I'm wondering do I need to setup the DNS in the "LAN" menu under "Lan - DHCP Server". As when i setup the ipv4 and ipv6 in the lan dhcp server it doesn't let me access my router wirelessly only via ethernet.
I've done this, but it causes my router's gateway to be inaccessible... My setup was making my pi hole the WAN and LAN. As you have to setup WAN as well or it will default to ISP
It's generally okay for the WAN to be set to the ISP (or anything that's not the Pihole), as that is only what the modem will use for it's own lookups and not what your network clients have to use. The LAN DNS settings need to point to Pihole, though.
