how do i install v5 pihole on rpi4?
like simple way of sudo apt-get install pihole-v5?

If you want a simple way to install Pi-hole, you can install Pi-hole v6.
If you really want Pi-hole v5, the easiest way is to use our docker image. The last v5 tag was pihole/pihole:2024.07.0.
sudo apt-get install pihole-v5

no one could make a repo for sudo apt-get install pihole-v5 , with unbound. if u knew how, id make a github repo to do so.
i just know how to use pihole n unbound but dev build is giving me complications with device names.
Why don't you try and fix the problem rather than falling back to an old version of the software?

I don't use PiHole for DHCP so can't help with that, sorry.
When I have had issues with hostnames not displaying or the wrong hostname showing, clicking 'Flush Network Table' immediately followed by 'Restart DNS Resolver' usually fixes it.
I did this several times. no go. pihole is not issuing hostnames to 4 devices. i dont get it and why it isnt.
