How can I serve some static pages?

I thought this might be a FAQ, but I can't find it anywhere...

I've just installed Pi-hole v4.3.2 on raspbian using the fully-automatic installer - everything is working perfectly :grinning:

I'd like to serve some static pages (documentation for the home network etc.) from the lighttpd server, but I can't seem to get anything to show - all my attempts are redirected to the Pi-hole welcome page.

I'm from an Apache httpd background, so maybe I'm just doing something stupid?

Does anyone have a simple guide for serving some pages alongside a default Pi-hole installation?

here is an example of how to add content to lighttpd. The example doesn't work anymore (can't edit the topic), updated instructions can be found here, chapter 20, 3 examples...
