Any idea why all my client names are appended with .local
?
Also have 2 clients that are showing IPs in the dashboard, not the hostname?
Pi-hole is acting as my DHCP

Might be able to help more with a debug log. Without it there's no way to know.
My bad, I'll grab one and post
Debug token gkeshn1cqk
Another issue...
Intermittently I'm unable to acces my dash at pi.hole/admin
You have configured your local domain with the name "local"
-rw-r--r-- 1 root root 483 Nov 13 21:13 /etc/dnsmasq.d/02-pihole-dhcp.conf
dhcp-authoritative
dhcp-range=192.168.0.3,192.168.0.251,24h
dhcp-option=option:router,192.168.0.1
dhcp-leasefile=/etc/pihole/dhcp.leases
domain=local
I dont remember doing this
So if I delete that from the settings it will remove the domain from my hostname?
Any thoughts on why 2 clients show IP only?
If the clients have no host name for Pi-Hole to pick up, this may be the result.
They definitely do have hostnames as set by me with a static IP in pi-hole DHCP settings
Try renewing the DHCP leases on those clients.
Not sure how I'd do that tbh
One is a sky+ box and the other is a Lenovo smart clock
I would start with rebooting or restarting them.
Thanks, will give it a try.
Should this be the case though? I have set DHCP lease time to 24 hours.
