Group Management to receive ads

HI,

My partner likes ads. I don't. Her ads are blocked when they should not be.

I have two groups, Default and Melissa.

My partners ip address 192.168.1.148 is assigned to the Melissa group, and is not a member of Default.

But she is still getting ad-blocking occurring.

I did update the raspberri pi last week.

I also added a Firewalla Blue into the network, to monitor my daughter's ipad.

I use a Ubiquiti USG as my internet router.

Your debug log shows your Pi-hole version to be v5.0 (June 2020):

From your debug log, your group assignments look ok.

Does your router always assign the same IPv4 address to your partner's devices?

Run from your partner's laptop, what's the output of:

nslookup pi.hole
nslookup flurry.ocm

HI,
Thanks for your response.
I have updated the pihole now. I had thought I was doing it when updating the the raspberri pi, but on further investigation it should have run the command: pihole -up. It has also been rebooted.

We are having trouble with my partners iphone ( not laptop, perhaps i should have been specific )

I downloaded nslookup on both of our iphones.
nslookup pi.hole
returns:
Server: pi.hole
Address: 192.168.1.55

Name: pi.hole
Addresses: (address omitted )
192.168.1.55

nslookup flurry.com
Server: pi.hole
Address: 192.168.1.55

Name: flurry.com
Addresses: ::
0.0.0.0

Her iphone has a static IP.
But, I do know that Private browsing is on by default... does that matter since the group management is by ip address?

HI,

never mind. she told me her ip address was 192.168.1.148

it was actually 192.168.1.146

problem solved.
