Google Location issues. Commonly whitelisted did not fix

Hello,

I recently got my pihole up and running and it is great! I have whitelisted many domains for services I use from the Commonly Whitelisted domain thread as well as some specific to my uses.

However, I am having issues with google location. In particular, I am defaulted to Wisconsin, many states away, while connected to my router on all my devices. This does not occur on my Cellular data or when I disconnect the Pihole.

I have already whitelisted clients4.google.com and clients2.google.com which are known to affect location but I cannot figure out what is causing the issue. I do not see any other traffic queried by my devices when queuing a location and not sure how or what to do to resolve this. Any ideas?

Are you running any VPN's or programs that would change your public IP. From what I understand, most geolocation systems for IP's are based off of information stored when the block of IPs were registered.

What does a site like whoer.net show when you are using and not using the Pi-hole? Does the address or the location detected change?

I do not use a VPN and the whoer.net shows my correct location when using Pi-hole.

Okay, we'll keep this open then to see if there are any other domains that may be involved with Google and locations.

I figured out my issue. Not related to pi-hole or any domains. Recent android updated is causing the error.

Thanks for the help
