Getting YouTube 'Something went wrong' error started today

I just started getting 'Something went wrong' error messages when trying to watch live streams on YouTube today. The stream will play for 10 to 30 seconds then the message will be displayed. When watching videos some will play fine, but others will play for 30 seconds then the white waiting circle displays and eventually you get the same 'Something went wrong' error. Normally if you get lagging YT video you'd get a link to the Google video quality report, but it looks like that might be no longer available.

I didn't want to believe it, but I think they're added DNS level adblock detection. I'm going to see what I can whitelist to get YT working again and still have some level of adblocking.

FYI: Just a follow up. I was able to get YouTube working again by disabling blocklists one by one until I found the one that I had been using from Firebog for years without problems. It just happened to be the only unchecked advertising list. It's the 'jdlingyu' blocklist on github.

I think YT is slowly rolling out and testing anti adblocking changes. I might have been one of the first to notice this particular problem. Back in June they made a change that killed the ability to skip ads by streaming videos directly from YT servers with the VLC video player.
