FTL installation and pihole dns service

Expected Behaviour:

I believe that after installing pi hole it should be a dns server and block ads and give stats based on the amount of ads

Actual Behaviour:

admin page says DNS service not running, when using pihole -r to repair, FTL cannot be installed "error: cannot find latest version of FTL" from github

Debug Token:

also on main page it says on the different tiles "Lost connection to API", i tried following all guides online such as, change /etc/resolv.conf to 8.8.8.8 and the pihole -r, didn't help -_-

To clarify, your Pi-Hole was running normally on an older version, and this problem happened during or after your update to version 4.0?
