Failed Pi-Hole Update

The issue I am facing:
Advice there is an update for Pi-hole, but the update failed with error msg.

  • FTL [v5.23]
  • Web Interface [v5.20.1]
    Details about my system:

[i] SELinux not detected
  [✓] Update local cache of available packages
  [i] Existing PHP installation detected : PHP version 8.2.7

  [✓] Checking apt-get for upgraded packages... 204 updates available
  [i] It is recommended to update your OS after installing the Pi-hole!

  [i] Checking for / installing Required dependencies for OS Check...
  [✓] Checking for grep
  [✓] Checking for dnsutils

  [✗] Retrieval of supported OS list failed. dig failed with return code 9. 
      Unable to determine if the detected OS (Debian 12) is supported.

What I have changed since installing Pi-hole:
Updated the Debian OS last week with no issues.

I recommend that you run apt update and apt upgrade to get your underlying OS up to date.

At the time you ran the updater, it was unable to contact the nameserver to retrieve the list of supported OS's. In your debug log, this check was run successfully, so this may have been an intermittent problem.

I rebooted the system, then ran the pihole -up, and it came back all updated, problem solved, thank you for your feedback.
