IM new here and I love the Pi-hole but there is something that I am finding very frustrating.
How do I add FQDN to DNS.
For example xyzzy.com will resolve to its WAN IP somewhere out there but I want it to resolve either to my local lan or in the case of it being in a different LAN connected by a VPN i want it to resolve to there.
I know I have to add a record to a table somewhere but where and how

There is no option on the dashboard, but you can use
pihole -a hostrecord
as described here:

This but isn't this is the wrong way round. I am talking about being able to go to an FGDN in another LAN connected by a VPN or adding a decoy in the same LAN I am in without it being on DHCP
Can't you just edit the hosts file like most of us are doing for local DNS resolving ?!
