Editing HOSTNAME

Hi,

Can you please create the function to allow for hostnames to be editable? I've got a few devices which shows up and it's frustrating not knowing which device is doing what.

Local DNS records is a feature added in V5 that will do this.

Web admin > local DNS records

I meant, can we have the function to edit the hostnames of DHCP Leased devices please?

Something like this:

Allow easy editing of IP address/hostname in static DHCP mappings

Currently to change a static reservation you have to delete the entry, then after the page reloads and the data has disappeared, re-add it. This usually means copying the MAC address into the clipboard, then re-typing the IP/hostname with the require changes. It'd be great if there was an Edit button or something, even if it just did the same as the Delete button but pre-populated the row of input boxes with the old values for tweaking/adding again.

Yeah, but I can't set static for all my devices that get issued an IP address.... (It's not a lot but there is more than one that shows up as )

For devices you can't set static leases you can use Local DNS Recors as jfb said or change the hostname of devices on the device itself.
