Duplicate entries in network. Mac addresses identical except different capitalization

Hello all,

after updating pihole to the latest version I started seeing several clients twice in the network table. The difference being one instance uses lower case letters in the mac address and the other one capital letters. In some cases one instance won't even have any IP addresses associated with it. This is not universal for all clients, just the ones in the picture plus one more I didn't screenshot. All other clients appear only once.

Flushing the network table removed these entries, but I already flushed it once yesterday for the same reason. Worth mentioning, yesterdays culprits were mostly different clients than today, only chromecast is a repeated offender for now.
Any idea why the mac addresses would be differently capitalized in the first place?

Which device are you using as DHCP server? I wonder if the capital MAC addresses come in from ECS data being sent by a foreign dnsmasq set up for EDNS(0) data forwarding.

DHCP server is the router, a FRITZ!Box 7560. Apparently Fritz!OS doesn't use dnsmasq. It uses multid for DNS, but I couldn't find out yet what is used for DHCP.
