I tried making a donation on the website - tried Stripe card payment, tried PayPal, I just keep getting an error as seen in the screenshot below. No payment method goes through, basically.
Is this a temporary issue? It might be preventing people from donating so it really should be looked in to. Appreciate yall!

Huh, what kind of filtering is used for that? I'll try with a different email but the email I originally tried donating with has been with me for like 20 years, a super clean personal Gmail account so I'm wondering what might've tripped the system?
Okay, I just donated with another email address and it went through, no problem. So weird.

Thanks again but that one comes out clean as well, haha. Doesn't matter, what matters is that donations work and mine went through. It would be good if the website has shown a different error for legit folks telling them what the issue might be so they can try with a different email/IP.
Bad actors will do that anyway.
Maybe it was just a temporary issue on the sources used by the filters.

As far as I know, this message comes from a third party payment plugin used by the pi-hole.net website. We don't control the code that filters the email and generates the messages.
It was kicked by Akismet as spam. So that could have been from an email list or could have been some behavior that looked odd. I can tell you that legitimate spam, like 30 failed donations in a row, isn't caught by Akismet so don't feel bad that it flagged you. It makes no real sense.
