I run Docker on my Synology Nas as a container. Recently at the bottom of Piholes web Gui there's a Docker Tag Update available.
I'm a beginner and only familiar with the pihole container update which there is none at this time. Could someone explain in detail how I go about updating a tag? TIA

You need to just update the container as you would normally. I'm not familiar with how Docker is administered on Synology.
You need to create a new container using the new image.
If you started your current container is using volumes to store the config files, you just need to use the same volumes on the new container.
Thanks, NGR, RDwebdesign. That's what I thought. However, there is not an update for the Pihole container. Maybe they're just behind in releasing one.

There is an update. I've just updated mine and now have:
Docker Tag 2024.05.0 Pi-hole v5.18.2 FTL v5.25.2 Web Interface v5.21
Sorry about that, mine just alerted me and it fixed the tag. For some reason I always am the last to get any updates. Even on my phone. I'm jinxed. TY
Just to confirm:
the latest Pi-hole image is from 2 days ago and the tag is 2024.05.0
