DNSMASQ_WARN Warning in dnsmasq core: Maximum number of concurrent DNS queries reached (max: 150)

Dear Community-Team

above mentioned failure was raised by pi-hole.

Using pi-hole v6, in proxmox-vm, 1.5 GB RAM, 16 GB HDD space and 1 virtual core.
Running smothely

I updated the /etc/dnsmasq.d/02-custom-settings.conf to

dnsmasq-max-concurrent-queries=1500,

as I do have many devices in my network and in VM enough memory, HDD space and CPU power available.

As I (rtfm not followed) did not find any good answer (may be googled in a wrong way) I want to document my hopefully good solution.

Please feel free to comment or post any other better solution if available.

Thank you
Regards

That error is not from the number of clients using Pi-hole, that number is the max queries allowed "in flight". That means the max number of queries waiting to be resolved by the upstream DNS resolver.

A quick search of the forum using the error message will provide you with a wealth of information. No need to RTFM but at least RTFF (Read the Fine Forum).
