DNSCrypt is no more?

Just saw this post, so now apparently DNSCrypt is gone.

So people are now suggesting DNS over TLS instead as a solution...

Edit: Looks like someone has forked it with no intention of adding new features, just patching bugs.

bowing out by closing everything down redirecting to another service and saying nothing. sounds incredibly familiar to another crypto gang that did the same only a few years ago after seemingly being served with a strongly worded letter with National Service on the top of it

The automatic update of the resolvers file (dnscrypt-resolvers.csv) failed today. It was still OK a few days ago.
It appears that the file was removed from github.

There is a tutorial that lists a script to update the resolvers file (update_resolvers.sh)

I've modified the location of the source into

https://raw.githubusercontent.com/dyne/dnscrypt-proxy/master/dnscrypt-resolvers.csv

The resolvers file can be retrieved successfully from this location.
