DNS Proxy setting in router?

I have a very standard/default Pi-Hole setup, and all is working well!
In order to see hostnames in the dashboard the Pi-Hole also does DHCP.

My question is; my router (Netcomm NF18ACV) has a checkbox for "Enable DNS Proxy"

Just wondering if this should be on or off? It seems to be working just fine either way, but figured there might be a correct answer?

Thanks!

I only see the option for model NF18ACV-NC-R6B016 (and not R6B017). In the manual (https://support.netcommwireless.com/api/Media/Document/15e4ce68-1263-4dd4-92db-eb4716aae8e6?Product=NF18ACV-User-Guide-NC-R6B016.pdf) it is described as

The Host name and Domain name are combined to form a unique label that is mapped to the router IP address. This can be used to access the user interface of the router with a local name rather than by using the router IP address. For example, you can access your router by entering http://NF18ACV into your web browser.

It should therefore be safe to enable it, but you could easily archive the same with pihole's "Local DNS records". Just create a IP <-> domain assignment with IP of your router and domain NF18ACV (or whatever you like)
