Any advice on whether dist-uprading
an old system will work? I would like to upgrade to at least bullseye. Am I better off starting from scratch?
I am running Debian Buster on x86_64 hardware. Pi-hole was installed via the installation script.

In place upgrades to a later OS version are a crapshoot. I have had mixed success.
If you want to try it, make a backup of what you have now, then do the upgrade. If it breaks, go to the backup and then go the clean install route.
Thank you. I guess I'll give it a whirl but be prepared to reinstall anyway.
