First, Beta 5.0 is working extremely well for being such a young beta, well done.

Previously I reported a bug and it was literally fixed and available in less than 2 hours. This is unbelievable.

This post is related to Deep CNAME inspection. I did not specifically disable this feature, so I believe it is working. However, I cannot see any details about CNAME queries. Should I be able to review the details of this happening?

I have not seen any blocked queries related to the new CNAME feature, so maybe that is the only place that it would be shown, if at all.

Also, to prevent another potentially dumb post, is there an updated documentation for 5.0?

No. We analyze the entire CNAME chain, however, we do not store any data related to this as it can be a long list and we'd need a lot of extra memory for storing this information. We considered this not useful especially since Pi-hole should still fit on low-end devices. Pi-hole v5.0 drastically improves on memory efficiency in general.
