Daemon log grows large and filled with dnsmasq details

with recent upgrade, noticed daemon.log is filled with this every second, resulting in a log file over 256MB per 24hrs.

Feb 24 05:42:41 config auth.bind is
Feb 24 05:42:41 config servers.bind is
Feb 24 05:42:42 config cachesize.bind is
Feb 24 05:42:42 config insertions.bind is
Feb 24 05:42:42 config evictions.bind is
Feb 24 05:42:42 config hits.bind is
Feb 24 05:42:42 config misses.bind is

Is this a result of the latest version of

  • Pi-hole [v5.9]
  • FTL [v5.14]
  • Web Interface [v5.11]

Are you running a monitoring software application that is polling Pi-hole for stats?

recently installed Netdata. could that be it?

Yeah, that will do it.

Yeah must be. I installed that a day or 2 before the upgrade. just issued "sudo service netdata stop" and logs stopped too.
