Hey all! first time playing with the pi-hole and i really dont have much scripting skills. Long story short i wanted to make sure that when something is blocked that my wife when working home will know its because of my "toys".. this way i can quickly fix it. i followed the above guide however it didnt work well so i looked up another guide which suggested using php instead of htm.. I want % queries blocked vs yesterday is not working as well top 10 blocked queries to work the same way as blocking mode IP as the default NULL.

Actual Behaviour:

Changed my blocking mode in pihole-FTL.conf to IP but the response it creates is No Error.
If you leave it to NULL its will have reply_code="Query Refused"

Is there a way for the custom block page to show up but somehow dish out a reply_code like query refused?

ideally what id love to have is that the block mode is still NULL and when you do a dns query it shows 0.0.0.0 but still shows a custom webpage.

No. The client will never know where to get the custom page from.
