Connection problem to upstream DNS servers

I’m experiencing the same CONNECTION_ERROR: Connection error (208.67.220.220#53): TCP connection failed (Operation in progress). I’ve tried all DNS servers, but the error appears intermittently on all of them, causing connection issues. I have tis errors from last update Core [v6.0.4]* FTL [v6.0.3]* Web interface [v6.0.1]

Please upload a debug log and post just the token URL that is generated after the log is uploaded by running the following command from the Pi-hole host terminal:

pihole -d

or if you run your Pi-hole as a Docker container:

docker exec -it <pihole-container-name-or-id> pihole -d

where you substitute <pihole-container-name-or-id> as required.

Sorry, I reset the system to reinstall Pi-hole. If the problem persists, I'll provide further updates. Apologies for the inconvenience.

Back in business. Fresh install, but the error returns after 10–15 minutes. Debug log: https://tricorder.pi-hole.net/AEfla4P3/

I am having the same issue - I changed my upstream DNS servers to Google vs. OpenDNS and will watch for the error.

Normally, I encounter at least two instances of the following error per Pi-hole per day:
"CONNECTION_ERROR Connection error (208.67.222.222#53): TCP connection failed (Operation in progress)"

I use two Pi-holes for redundancy. I say "at least two" because if I don’t clear the errors, they persist but with different timestamps. This issue occurs regardless of the DNS provider I use (e.g., Google, Cloudflare, OpenDNS, etc.). Additionally, I have noticed that enabling DNSSEC increases the frequency of these errors.

Please try setting misc.dnsmasq_lines under Settings | All settings » Miscellaneous to contain no-0x20-encode.

All settings is available in Expert mode only.

Magic! The error logs have disappeared. Thank you very much! I'll still keep an eye on it. Have a great day, sir!

I am crying, the errors returned.
