Configure https + nginx reverse proxy

Expected Behaviour:

Access pihole admin web panel with https.

Actual Behaviour:

Unable to connect

Debug Token:

https://tricorder.pi-hole.net/VombCvpY/

To start with, yes, I do understand the error unable to connect on the pihole server because obviously https is not enabled.
I tried to follow this help article Enabling HTTPS for your Pi-hole Web Interface which has not helped me since my subdomain (dns.kristn.co.uk) is pointing to my nginx reverse proxy where the ssl certificate also lives (https://cdn.kristn.co.uk/i/i9cgp).
Going to dns.kristn.co.uk just shows a blank page and an error is in the logs, can't connect.

I am running pihole in a linux container via proxmox (1 core, 512mb ram)

Your FTL log is full of entries showing queries from IP's outside of your network.

Is port 53 open on your router, exposing Pi-hole to the internet?

Was not meant to be, I've disabled it.
Well now that it won't be forwarded I suppose I will use a vpn instead anyway so I don't need much help anymore, thank you!
