Clients are not reflecting in dashboard, I have added my pihole ip address in my router

I have installed pi- hole in old windows laptop (Win 10 pro) with a Docker Client Version 24.0.2, Pi-Hole FTL version: v5.23.

Expected Behaviour:

_Clients are not showing in dashboard as i have about 15+ devices in home. and the ads are not blocking anywhere. kindly help me out. OR give a walk-through process how to install perfectly and set it up(Thanks in Advance) _

Actual Behaviour:

_I have added the pihole IP address in my router as my Primary DNS and have not even mentioned Secondary DNS(should i add DNS like 1.1.1.1?). when checking in pihole dashboard only 3 clients show up which are

I have followed this walk-through for setting up my pi-hole.

Don't specify anything as DNS except your Pihole, otherwise devices can and will use it instead of Pihole for DNS resolution.

Also, your client machines probably need to renew their IP lease before they will pick up the new DHCP information your router is handing out for DNS addresses.

Something to note – please go into Adlists and remove the second very long URL which is not an adlist.

Hi I have removed other DNS address except my PI-Hole and still not showing my all devices as clients.

Thanks I have removed the long URL. Issue unresolved.

The walkthroughs at https://docs.pi-hole.net/ should tell you everything you need, and they have the bonus of actually being accurate (which is not always guaranteed on walkthroughs from other places). :slight_smile:
Remember, you will have to renew the DHCP lease on your clients for them to pick up any changes your router is handing out.
