Can't update Pihole

Expected Behaviour:

Update pihole with pihole -up

I haven't had a problem until a couple of weeks ago

Actual Behaviour:

Update pihole with pihole -up doesn't work. I immediately get an error
"pihole -up
[✗] Update local cache of available packages
Error: Unable to update package cache. Please try "sudo apt update"

This is an Operating System error.
Did you try sudo apt update? What error message do you see?

I try sudo apt update and I get the same message. It doesn’t give any output other than what I posted.
