When I run the command I get
curl: (6) Could not resolve host: pi.hole
I also get xheader could not be retrived
any advice?
Please do not revive two-year-old topics (for entirely different Pi-hole versions back then) with posts that are only related by the command used, but poduce an entirely different outcome.

If you ran that curl from your Pi-hole machine:
Check what your Pi-hole host is using as DNS server and adapt as required.
