Cannot access web interface through firefox or chrome, but can through safari

Expected Behaviour:

I go to http://192.168.1.33:8000/admin or pi.hole and get to the web interface.

Actual Behaviour:

In Firefox, my main browser, I get the following error:

Unable to connect

Firefox can’t establish a connection to the server at 192.168.1.33:8000.

The site could be temporarily unavailable or too busy. Try again in a few moments.
If you are unable to load any pages, check your computer’s network connection.
If your computer or network is protected by a firewall or proxy, make sure that Firefox is permitted to access the web.

In Chrome:

This site can’t be reached

http://192.168.1.33:8000/admin is unreachable.

ERR_ADDRESS_UNREACHABLE

In Safari, it works as expected.

I have disabled "https everywhere" type options in the browser by adding 192.168.1.33 to a list of exceptions, as well as any other blocking software that could possibly interfere with it.

I don't use MacOS (so this is almost a guess), but I recently saw similar issues related to a privacy configuration:

What a quick reply! That worked.

To help others: you go to Mac OS Settings > Privacy & Security > Local Network > toggle "on" your browser of choice.
