Can i set a own app password?

Hi,

is there any way to set a app password by myself and not to get i generated? Or can i overwrite it somewhere in the settings?

As i am running two piholes with keepalived i need to have the same app password for my api calls...

I have build everything for pi-hole master but as pi-hole backup generates a own app password i cannot use the api calls for both instances

No, you can't.

Yes. You need to copy the webserver.api.app_pwhash from one device to the other device.

If anybody else will find this issue with same question:
The "webserver.api.app_pwhash" is not a file. You can find this value in the pi-hole GUI under:

Settings > All Settinngs > Webserver and API (Top Menu) > value in "webserver.api.app_pwhash"

...and don't confuse it with the other setting "webserver.api.pwhash"
