There calling at least 2 or 3 identical dns names to bypass pihole.
yesterday one would be 200 ms then 320 ms but have the same name a A record and AAAA
Please post some lines from /var/log/pihole.log that show these queries and replies.
And; Who is "they"? Browsers (and also apps) should not "bypass" the Pi-hole as DNS server.
