Blocking Not Working in Safari on a Mac

I have been using PiHole for some time, and everything works correctly on all my devices.

I used to use Microsoft Edge as my web browser, and everything works correctly in that. However I have just tried using Safari as a browser instead, and the web blocking does not work in that.

I have disabled all the private relay and various other options on my machine, but it doesn't seem to help. I don't see any DNS queries coming from Safari.

What else can I do?

Issue: Pi-hole blocks requests successfully but ads will still be loaded in Safari after surfing for a while. Setup: macOS Sonoma with Safari 17.1, Pi-hole standard install This fix assumes that Pi-hole is set as your default DNS and there is no misconfiguration like unassigned groups etc. Fix: Safari > Settings > Advanced > uncheck "Allow privacy-preserving measurement of ad effectiveness" Don't forget to clear the DNS cache of macOS.

Thanks, but I have already unticked that option (and all the other privacy ones) and cleared the DNS cache, but it hasn't helped.

I think I have managed to resolve the issue now.

In my DNS address I had an IPV6 fe80 address as well as the address of my PiHole, I removed that, and I think that has resolved it.
