To allow users to enter wildcard domains e.g *.domain.com to either the whitelist or blacklist. For example the LinkedIn website is totally broken due to various blocked domains so it would be easier for user to manage the whitelist by entering *.linkedin.com
This is already available for blocked domains and is called regex filtering.
