Ads show with a 5-10 seconds delay

Hi forum

when visiting the site wieistmeineip.de everything loosk good but ads appear about 5-10 seconds after the page loaded, although my pi-hole blocking is working fine.
Is there any chance for me to keep these ads blocked?

Expected Behaviour:
Ads should not show

Actual Behaviour:
Ads show with a 5-10 seconds delay

That usually means you have more than just Pi-hole as the DNS server for clients to use.

I am resoving DNS with pfSense and I am not using any other resolver or DNS server.
So I guess there might be another root cause?

Short update, I tested the site with Firefox, Brave and Chrome.
In Chrome the ads never show up, but in Firefox and Brave they do.

Check that you haven't inadvertently enabled DNS over HTTPS in firefox.

If it is set to anything other than "OFF" in Settings -> Privacy and Security -> DNS over HTTPS, then firefox will try to go around your network's DNS.

I gather brave has a similar option to explore.

Thank you for your comment @robgill , I have checked my firefox seeting but it seems all has been tunred off

So I guess there must be anyother reason.
I am also wondering why the ads show up quite late. It takes about 6-7 seconds after the page fully loaded.
