No reboot for OS updates ?
Linux, no need reboot.
Whatever you say.
My Pi occasionally tells me that the changes need a reboot to take effect.
What about kernel updates? Assuming you are using Debian, if /var/run/reboot-required exists, you should reboot.
My update script checks if a new kernel has been installed and/or if that file exists and will reboot my Pi if either are true.
I did not know of this, also for kernel updates, the latest kernel in update manager, install, like linux mint, do I need to hold shift at boot/advance option and select the latest kernel to boot to, in bootup/grub menu?
