0 domains blocked! Missing setupVars.conf amongst others

Hello,
I tried to install pihole on my pi but get messages about missing setupVars.conf and have an empty /etc/pihole directory save for the logfile.

I have run the repair a few times but still get the same results of no domains blocked in the admin tool. I saw a similar thread here from a user running on a synology box, his issue was a firewall it seemed, but not sure if that helps me at all.

Below is some commands that folks here had him run with my output in case similar data is helpful. I also ran the debug and uploaded the results with key rt73xdc3im

Any pointers much appreciated.
Thanks
ayb

Reboot your Pi, you are running kernel 3.12.22+ (very old) and your modules are for kernel version 4.1.19+. You may want to do a sudo apt-get update as well, since the kernel has been updated recently as well.

Thanks running the apt-get update now, uptime is quite a bit I guess, overdue you could say.

Will report back after the reboot, thanks again

Perfect! Blocking as advertised, thanks so much for the help!
