If you notice your blocked domain count suddenly drops by a significant amount,
the most likely cause is the the list maintainer's removed domains from their blocklist and when Pi-hole downloaded the change, there were not as many domains on the list as there were previously.
The other situation that can occur is when you do not have a cached list and the list could not be downloaded (this no domains from that list are aggregated into the block list).
