If a blocked site is important to you, rather than tracking down the list it's in I believe you can simply edit /etc/hosts on the Pi-Hole device and add the IP address and hostname to the end of that file. Then restart Pi-Hole. Otherwise you're going to have a bad time.

Just Whitelist the domain. You can do this either through the web interface or command line. In this case, the command you would issue would be `pihole -w thepiratebay.org`

> [@The pihole Command With Examples](https://discourse.pi-hole.net/t/the-pihole-command-with-examples/738/1):
>
> ## Whitelist or Blacklist A Domain
>
> ### `-w` Usage
>
> ```auto
> Usage: pihole -w [options] <domain> <domain2 ...>
> Example: 'pihole -w site.com', or 'pihole -w site1.com site2.com'
> Whitelist one or more domains
>
> ```

Additionally, you can query the source list of a domain by

> [@The pihole Command With Examples](https://discourse.pi-hole.net/t/the-pihole-command-with-examples/738/1):
>
> ## Ad List Query
>
> ```auto
> Usage: pihole -q [option] <domain>
> Example: 'pihole -q -exact domain.com'
> Query the adlists for a specified domain
>
> Options:
> -adlist Print the name of the block list URL
> -exact Search the block lists for exact domain matches
> -all Return all query matches within a block list
> -h, --help Show this help dialog
>
> ```
>
> This command is useful to find out what list a domain appears on. Since we don’t control what the third-parties put on the block lists, you may find that a domain you normally visit stops working. If this is the case, you could run
>
> ```auto
> pihole -q somedomain.com
>
> ```
>
> and it will return the list the domain was originally found on.

Again this can also be done from both the web user interface or command line. You can learn more about these commands and more [here](https://discourse.pi-hole.net/t/the-pihole-command-with-examples/738).

I'm pretty sure ads are blocked. Generally I find PiHole breaks less things than uBlock which I also use in conjunction. Not sure what you're hmmm is about, I believe Ghostery now displays ads? Maybe that's why it's blocked though I'm not sure why Ghostery needs it's own user agent anyway, unless it's an ego thing...
