Weirds Query Logs and traffic not forwarded

pihole is working on a Synology Nas installed in a docker container

Expected Behaviour:

Traffic filtered on pihole

Actual Behaviour:

When i connect my oneplus 6T to the wireless network i can see some strange entries (look for image attached) and the traffic is not then filtered by the pihole.

if you look at the entries log there are a couple of entries with random letters.
Moreover the issue is that is not filtering the traffic at all after it connects to it.

Thanks for your explication, quite helpfull and interesting.
I checked the network.php and it looks like the device is not cirvumventing the pihole.
Do you mean that if i force the pihole on https, it won't be jumped anymore?

i meant "skipped".

No ipv6 is configured at the moment.

DoH is first checking normally through the normal DNS if dns.google is resolved. After a while it will change over to using DoH and you will see that only sporadic requests are made for checking.
This applies to your to sentence: "Moreover the issue is that is not filtering the traffic at all after it connects to it.".

Ok. Then why this is not happening if I set a static IP and i specify as primary DNS the pihole IP leaving blank the secondary DNS. If i keep the 8.8.8.8 for secondary DNS (as a fallback in case anything happens to the pihole) the ads are not filtered anymore.
